This marks an important milestone in the expansion of the plant. The first tests of the installed components can begin shortly. These so-\u200bcalled loop checks represent the first step in cold commissioning.<\/p>\n<p>Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: \u201cThe so-\u200bcalled marriage \u2013 the installation of the finished engine in a&nbsp;machine \u2013 of the two new reactors is a&nbsp;significant moment in the history of our company. With the two new production lines, our main plant will in future have the recycling capacity that we are planning as standard for all new Pyrum plants. We are very proud that despite the major challenges, such as the disruptions in the global supply chains, the chip shortage, Covid-\u200b19 and the extreme price increases, we expect to be able to complete the expansion of our main plant on schedule. The new facilities will enable us to meet the enormous demand for our products even better in future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pyrum\u2019s main plant in Dillingen\/\u200bSaar consists of a&nbsp;production line that has been operating on an industrial scale since 2020. In addition to this pyrolysis reactor, Pyrum has built two further towers around 25 metres high since the end of 2021. Pyrum\u2019s patented technology is used in the reactors to convert rubber granulate from used tyres into pyrolysis oil, gas and recovered carbon black (rCB), which in turn are used by Pyrum\u2019s customers as raw materials for the manufacture of new products. With this expansion, the processing capacity can be tripled to around 20,000 tonnes of used tyres per year in the future.
