Responsibilities Planning, design and optimization of pyrolysis plants and associated auxiliary units Basic and detail engineering: creating process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) Sizing of equipment (reactors, condensers, heat exchangers, conveyor systems) Carrying out mass and energy balances Supporting commissioning and test runs Analyzing and optimizing ongoing processes in terms of efficiency, yield and emissions Technical support of the plants in operation (fault analysis, troubleshooting) Intensive on-the-job training in operations to gain a deep process understanding What You Bring Completed training/degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering or comparable Experience in thermal processes (ideally pyrolysis, gasification or thermolysis) Knowledge of heat and mass transfer, reaction kinetics and thermodynamics Experience with CAD and planning tools (e.g. COMOS or similar) Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working Willingness to travel occasionally Confident German and English language skills
