Status of compatibility with the requirements
This website is not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations that apply to us. In detail:
Incompatibility with accessibility legislation
- Colour contrast: individual highlighted words within headings (light green) do not reach the minimum contrast required by WCAG 2.1 against the white background. This affects highlighted words in headings on several key pages (including the homepage, Technology, Contact, Careers and Investor Relations). A switch to a higher-contrast shade of green is planned.
- PDF documents: some of the PDF documents available for download (in particular older annual/analyst reports and Annual General Meeting documents) are not fully accessible, as they lack a consistent tagged document structure for screen readers. Newer financial reports are already provided as tagged, accessible PDFs; older documents are being converted on an ongoing basis.
- Third-party embedded content: we use external providers for the newsletter sign-up form and for YouTube-hosted recordings of Annual General Meetings and earnings calls. We cannot fully verify or influence the accessibility of these services (e.g. the reliability of automatically generated subtitles).
- Structuring of headings and content is largely correct, but in individual cases still exhibits minor deviations from semantic standards (e.g. skipped heading levels).
- Individual animations (e.g. slider transitions) could be perceived as distracting or annoying by some users.
- The HTML structure occasionally shows minor semantic shortcomings (e.g. undeclared landmarks or unclear ARIA roles).
- Use with screen readers is generally possible, but could be improved in certain navigation or interaction elements.
- Keyboard operation is largely possible, but drop-down menus or sliders do not always respond as expected.
- Colour contrast is otherwise generally sufficient, but may be too low in hover effects or overlaid text (e.g. on images).
- Not all information is provided via more than one sensory channel, e.g. additional textual explanations for colour coding are missing in places.
Disproportionate burden

- Complete alternative texts and descriptions for all images and linked media content, in accordance with WCAG requirements.

The accessibility of the website was assessed by:
- Manual visual inspection of central page areas (Start, About us, Contact, Services).
- Use of automated test tools such as WAVE, AXE and Lighthouse.
- Spot checks of provided PDF documents for tagging and document structure.
- Orientation towards the requirements of WCAG 2.1, BITV 2.0 and the Barrier-Free Strengthening Act (BFSG).
