Process Engineer (m/​f/​d)

Tasks:

  • Planning, design and optimisation of pyrolysis plants and associated auxiliary equipment
  • Basic and detailed engineering: preparation of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Sizing of equipment (reactors, condensers, heat exchangers, conveying systems)
  • Carrying out mass and energy balances
  • Support during commissioning and trial runs
  • Analysis and optimisation of ongoing processes in terms of efficiency, yield and emissions
  • Technical support for the systems during operation (fault analysis, troubleshooting)
  • In-​depth induction into day-​to-​day operations to gain a thorough understanding of the processes

What you bring with you:

  • Completed vocational training or a degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience in the field of thermal processes (ideally pyrolysis, gasification or thermolysis)
  • Knowledge of heat and mass transfer, reaction kinetics and thermodynamics
  • Experience in using CAD and planning tools (e.g. COMOS or similar)
  • An independent, structured and solution-​oriented approach to work
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips
  • A good command of German and English
