Laboratory testing

Efficient thermolysis tailored to your needs

To determine the thermolytic recycling of various input materials with the Pyrum technology For environmentally friendly and sustainable recycling, we offer test runs on various scales – including material shredding, product preparation and comprehensive product analysis.

Material shredding

We use a C13 20 granulator from Wanner Technik to shred plastics, rubber articles and other materials. This can be used to process raw materials into various grain sizes down to less than 5 mm. This process is mainly used to prepare materials for thermolysis tests.

Thermolysis experiments

For thermal treatment, we have various in-house developed Pyrolysis laboratory systems which simulate the process of the large-scale plant on a small scale. Various process parameters can be varied according to the input material. In addition to individual tests to evaluate the general suitability, comprehensive test series to optimise the process parameters and thermolysis products are also possible.

Oil distillation

In addition to crude oil, we can also look at various oil fractions to determine the optimum utilisation routes for thermolysis oils. For the processing, we use a customised and automated Distillation plant which enables fractionation under atmospheric pressure down to vacuum.

Solids grinding

The solids produced after thermolysis can rarely be returned directly to the material cycle in their raw form as a sustainable product. With our Counter jet mill however, we are able to grind the raw product precisely to the ideal particle size of up to 3 µm, depending on the application.

Product characterisation

To classify thermolysis products and their application potential, we offer various analyses in addition to the standard methods.
