For the realisation of feasibility studies, the preparation of Thermolysis products and for the optimisation of industrial processes, we have developed our own Laboratory systems and specially designed processing systems in various versions.
The specially developed Batch reactor is ideal for investigating the thermolysis behaviour of a wide range of materials and waste substances – from plastics to rubber components. The starting material is thermally decomposed under a protective atmosphere (inert) with flexibly adjustable heating rates between 10 °C/min and 200 °C/min. The continuous recording of Pressure and temperature curves provides valuable insights into the recyclability of the material. In combination with the analysis of the decomposition products, this enables a well-founded feasibility study on potential utilisation in chemical recycling.

The specially developed Reactor is based on Pyrum’s industrial plant design. In continuous operation, rubber materials can be processed here with a throughput of up to 1 kg/h can be converted into thermolysis products. Five electrically heated zones enable precise adjustment of the process conditions – individually adapted to the properties of the respective starting material – for optimum reaction control.
The system is used both for Process and product development in the field of used tyre recycling as well as for carrying out feasibility studies on other waste streams. Due to the constructive proximity to the industrial plant, potentially recyclable types of waste can be assessed particularly realistically for their suitability for industrial use.

A laboratory system for Column distillation is used to separate liquid mixtures based on different boiling points. It consists of a distillation flask to heat the mixture, a column with packing material or trays to increase the surface area and improve separation, a condenser to condense the rising vapours and collection vessels to collect the separated fractions. A reflux control allows the reflux ratio to be regulated for greater separation efficiency, while temperature sensors at various points ensure precise monitoring. Typical applications include Purity analyses, Solvent separation and Synthesis processes.

A fluidised bed counter jet mill is a special Fine grinding plantwhich is used to micronise powdered materials. A fluid (usually air or inert gas) is injected at high speed through nozzles whose jets collide and create a turbulence field. The accelerated particles collide and are reduced to micrometre size. A separator separates the fine particles from the gas flow, while the coarse particles are returned.
The advantages of the fluidised bed counter jet mill are low wear (no grinding tools), precise particle size distribution and the protection of temperature-sensitive materials. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical industry, minerals and the ceramics industry used.
