Pyrum Innovations AG receives ‘Employer of the Future’ award

Dillingen /Saar, 10 November 2022 – Pyrum Innovations AG (“Pyrum”), a pioneering company that sustainably recycles used tyres with its pyrolysis technology, has been recognised as an “Employer of the Future” by the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalisation (DIND). The award was based on a multi-stage assessment process in which DIND experts examined the company’s future viability and analysed its digital touchpoints and brand presence. The official award ceremony will be held in Cologne on 1 December 2022 by former Federal Minister of Economics Brigitte Zypries.

Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG: “We are delighted to have been recognised as an employer of the future, which also confirms our sustainable business model and our innovative technology. In order to utilise our great potential, we naturally need the right employees. In this respect, we see the Employer of the Future seal as a further argument for attracting skilled workers to us.”

The appraisal process focused on aspects that make the company attractive and are important for its future viability – in particular, digitalisation and sustainability. The DIND develops the methodology, content and assessment criteria in consultation with top experts from various disciplines and reviews these at regular intervals.

About Pyrum Innovations AG

Pyrum Innovations AG has revolutionised the recycling market for used tyres. Since 2008, the company has been developing an innovative thermolysis technology that makes it possible to recycle used tyres and plastics with virtually zero emissions. The process enables the recovery of high-quality products such as thermolysis oil and rCB (recovered carbon black), which are used by renowned partners such as BASF, Continental and Schwalbe to manufacture new products. In this way, the company closes the material cycle and pursues a 100 % sustainable business model. The first purpose-built plant at the headquarters in Dillingen/Saar has been in continuous operation since 2020, and two further plants were added as part of the site expansion in 2024. Thanks to prestigious certificates such as REACH and ISCC Plus, the products are recognised as high-quality, sustainable and renewable.
